HYRUM ALLAN
Hyrum Allan died late Sunday afternoon in his home at Coal Hollow, Irwin RD2. He was born April 21, 1867 in England and came to this country 63 years ago. Surviving are his widow, Harriet Ward Allan and five children: Mrs. Emma Detar, of West Irwin; Mrs. Anna May Barrett, of Coal Hollow; John E., of the U.S. Navy; James L. and George, both of Irwin Seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one brother, James Leaf Allan, of Salt Lake City, Utah, also survive. Funeral services will be held from his late home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Carl E. Holmer officiating. Interment will be in Irwin Union Cemetery.
