Bernard W. HURST, 63, Macy, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday at Dukes hospital in Peru following a lengthy illness. Born March 18, 1911 in Macy, he was the son of Glenn and Ida May (HATCH) HURST. He was married July 10, 1937 to Leora BOWEN, who survives. A retired farmer, he had lived in Macy all his life. Surviving with the wife and the father are four sons, John A. [HURST], Mentone; Stephen R. [HURST], Costa Rica; James M. and David K. [HURST], both of Macy; one sister, Mrs. Sidney (Harriett) HATFIELD, Bourbon; and two grandchildren. Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with Chester WALTHER officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetery at Macy. Friends may call at the funeral home.
