She was born July 25, 1911 in Delta, Utah, to John Karl Eardley and Zaidee Worthen Eardley.
June 3, 1929 she married James Samuel Paige Bowler in Las Vegas. They moved to Mesquite shortly thereafter. James passed away Dec. 24, 1976 and
Sylvia remarried in 1981 to Dellon Potter.
Sylvia lived most of her life in Mesquite. She enjoyed working in her yard and seeing her family.
Sylvia is survived by her three daughters, Mona Rae (Glade) Truman of Enterprise, Utah, Barbara Bauer of Redding, Calif., and Julie (Deral) Houston of Mesquite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Zaidee Eardley; four brothers Claude, Don, Ferl and Floyd; sister, Laverne; both of her husbands, James S.P. Bowler and Dellon Potter; and five children, Jimmy Bowler, Clesta Molina, Karl Bowler, Sandra Pacheceo and Cynthia Park. She has 32 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 10, with funeral services following at noon, all at the LDS Church in Mesquite.
