Hobert D. "Jake" Weimer, 85, of Connellsville, formerly of Waltersburg, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 14, 2002, in Harmon House, Mount Pleasant. He was born Jan. 21, 1917, in White, son of the late Randall Weimer and Pearl Ritenour Weimer Laws. Prior to his retirement he was a steelworker at the Clairton Works of U.S. Steel Corp. He was a member of Connellsville Church of God on Breakneck Avenue. He is survived by his wife, Delores Ramage Weimer; four sons, Elmer Weimer in Florida, George Weimer in Tennessee, Hobert Weimer of Uniontown and Robin Weimer in Michigan; three daughters, Betty Smith of Donegal, Evelyn Bosley of Connellsville and Minnie DeMarco in Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Laws Ohler of Connellsville and Ferne Clark of White; two brothers, Melvin Laws in Florida and Donald Laws of Mount Pleasant; a stepdaughter, Arlene Ramage and a stepson, Ronald Ramage, both of Connellsville. He was predeceased by a brother, Earl Weimer; and an infant sister, Florence Weimer. Friends will be received at the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kay Kurtz officiating.
