Uncles Asa Watts, of the Cove, died Tuesday night, after an illness of four days, of pneumonia. Mr. Watts was one of the old settlers of the county, coming here from Hickman county, KY., in 1836, and has resided here ever since. He was 70 years of age. He was a kind-hearted and generous man, with few faults, and he always had a cheery smile and a kind word for all. He leaves four children, Art, Boyd, John and Eliza, all married and a large connection to mourn his loss. The remains were laid to rest in the Old Horton graveyard near Maple Grove, in the Cove, Thursday afternoon at o'clock.
