Omer Alley, 85, former Muncie resident, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alsie Hermann in Portland, Ore., it was learned here Friday. The body will be returned to Muncie for funeral services and burial.
When in Muncie, Mr. Alley lived at 2100 West Main St., Normal City. In is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Lettie Worley, Mrs. Alsie Hermann, Mrs. Nira Jones, Mrs. Mima Woodworth and Mrs. Agnes Schatz, all of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Malda Coates of Muncie. A sister, Mrs. Elsie Wolf of Metamora, Ind. also survives.
The body will arrive in Muncie at 6 p.m. Sunday, and will be taken to Meeks Mortuary, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday by the Reverend E.E. Franklin. Burial will be in Beach Grove cemetery.
