Omen Amstutz Dies After Long Illness

Omen Amstutz, 59, lifelong resident of the Berne community, died late Tuesday night at the Adams County Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted. He was in the Berne Nursing Home for three and one-half years.

Mr. Amstutz was a member of the First Missionary Church at Berne.

Surviving are five sons, the Rev. Paul Amstutz of Armada, Mich., the Rev. Edward Amstutz of Grenada Hills, Calif., James Amstutz of Elkhart, Richard Amstutz of Berne Route 1, and Robert Amstutz of Berne; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald Brewster of Berne, and Miss Carolyn Amstutz of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Tillman Amstutz, in India, and two sisters, Miss Elda Amstutz, in India, and Mrs. Max Heller of Elkton, Mich.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First Missionary Church at Berne, the Rev. J.J. Klopfenstein officiating. Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery. Friends may call at the Yager Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Friday.
