Former Bernice Martin succumbs, survived by Terry sisters, brother

Bernice Martin Rohrdanz, a sister of our Terry women and a Terry man, died recently at Helena Mt, after along period of declining health. She was 54 years of age.
Services were held for her at the Retz Funeral chapel in Helena, December 19, with Pastor William Rizer in charge.
Mrs Rohrdanz was born January 9, 1925 at Midwest WY, the youngest daughter of August and Bertha Martin She grew up in the Olanda community, north of Terry and attended Pleasant Ridge school.
She worked as a welder during WW II in west- coast shipyards and in 1945, attended beauticians' college in Tacoma WA. She later worked for a time as a telephone operator, in Terry.
She married Earl Rohrdanz in Harlowton in 1950, and in 1957 the family moved to Helena. Mrs Rohrdanz had been employed there for seven years by the Montana Physicians Service, before retiring last March because of her health. She was a member of the Montana National Guard Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, Brian and Steve and a daughter, Pamela, and a grandson.
