Funeral services for Coleman (Collie) Huffman Sr., 75, a resident of Clarendon and Donley County since 1929, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 18, 1972 in Murphy Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Hancock, minister of the First Christian Church, officiating. Interment was in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.
Mr. Huffman died of an apparent heart attack in his car five miles Northeast of Clarendon on Farm Road No. 1260 at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 16th. He was born February 4, 1897 at DeLeon, Texas and married Laura Stone June 30, 1918 at DeLeon. He moved to Donley County April 29, 1929, and was a retired Rural Mail Carrier from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a Baptist and a Veteran of World War I.
