CLARENDON, Dec. 6 - Funeral services for Argus Ord Hefner, 82, longtime resident of Clarendon, were scheduled for 4 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Clarendon, with the Rev. W.R. Lawrence, pastor, officiating.

Burial was to be in Citizens Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home.

Mr. Hefner died at 5 1.m. Tuesday in the Morgan Convalescent Home in Panhandle.

He had been a resident of Panhandle for 56 years. A retired farmer and rancher, Mr. Hefner was born Feb. 10, 1879, in Bell County.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clarendon.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Dowe and Mrs. Vera Lusk, both of Walnut Creek, Calif.; two sons, Ray Hefner and Lloyd Hefner, both of Amarillo; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
