Thekla (Weber) Wagner, 88 died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996 at the Columbus Community Hospital. She was born on Oct. 15, 1908 in East Bristol and was the daughter of Frank and Mary Walburga (Hallmeyer) Weber. She married Joseph M. Wagner on June 20, 1933 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. She was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters and the Christian Women. Survivors include her daughters, Rita (Robert) Meinholz, Marshall; Sister Joan Wagner S.D.S. Huntsville, AL; three sons, Gerald (Darlene) Wagner, Columbus, Dr. Ron (Mary) Wagner, Sun Prairie, and Paul (Dolly) Wagner, Madison; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Clara (Leo) Frey, Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Martin, and two sisters; Clotilda Broom and Rose Weber. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol with Father William DeBock officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home handled arrangements.
