Terrie Lynn Maassen

Terrie Lynn Maassen, daughter of Junior and Genevieve Maassen was born at Des Moines General Hospital on March 7, 1957 and passed away July 9, 1965 at the age of eight years, four months and two days. She died due to injuries suffered when hit by a pickup truck a few hours earlier.

Terrie was baptized in St. Peters Lutheran Church at Pocohontas, Iowa, March 21, 1957. Her sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Maas of Manson, Iowa. She belonged to the First Lutheran Church at Chariton.

She is survived by her parents, one brother Lon Allan 3¨ö years old, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Maassen of Rolfe, Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Briggs and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Demmie Briggs, all of Williamson, Iowa. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 12, 1965 at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. Pastor Melvin Suhr of Centerville officiated at the services. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
