Lila Harriet Else, 94 years of age, of Elm Creek, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Wahoo, Nebraska. She was born on January 7, 1916 to Charles A. and Pauline J. (Larson) Larson on a farm Northwest of Holdrege in Phelps County.

Lila received her education at Phelps County District #66, also known as the Snowball School. She was confirmed at Holcomb Evangelical Church in May 1929 under the pastorate of Reverend John E. Dahline. She attended high school in Loomis, Nebraska, graduating with the class of 1934.

On February 15, 1950, Lila was united in marriage to Delmer Else of Overton and to this union, three sons were born: Rodney, Dennis, and Lonnie. The couple resided on a farm east of Overton for 18 years. In the spring of 1968, the family moved to the original family farm south of Elm Creek, where Lila resided until November of 1999 when she moved to Elm Creek.

Lila enjoyed gardening, embroidering, making quilts, and spending time with family and friends.

Besides her parents, Lila was preceded in death by: brothers: Carl Larson and his wife, Opal, and Harold Larson and his wife, Elvera; sisters: Verna Palmer, Ruth Anderson and her husband, Elmer; two great-grandchildren: Hayden Lade and Ava Else.

She is survived by her sons: Rodney Else and his wife, Gaylene of Brighton, Colorado, Dennis Else and his wife, Cheri of Mead, Nebraska, Lonnie Else and his wife, Stephanie of Elm Creek; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister: Edna Paulsen and her husband, John of Funk, Nebraska; brother-in-law: Raymond Palmer of Holdrege; and other relatives and friends.
