Albert William Blutcher passed away on February 3, 2006, in Colville, WA at the age of 84. He had been ill most of the winter. He was born in Culdesac, Nez Perce County, ID on June 23, 1921, to Albert Byron and Bernice Blyton Graupman) Blutcher.
Albert lived a very interesting life, growing up and living in Toppenish, WA as a small child on the Yakima Indian Reservation. He worked for a short time as a young man with the Conservation Corps. and trained Albanian Horses in Wenatchee, WA. He also worked on many dams, the most famous of which is the Chief Joseph Dam in Washington State. The majority of his life was spent as a truck driver for the Rainier Beer Brewery and Nalley's Fine Foods (Potato Chip Plant). He retired from Nalley's in 1983, in Spokane, WA.
Albert is survived by his wife, June Blutcher at the home; son, Mark Blutcher of Coeur d'Alene, ID; daughter, Tammy Carpenter of North Bend, WA; brother, Orland Douglas Blutcher of Wildomar, CA; 3 granddaughters; and 3 great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Seymour Dean Blutcher.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
The help provided to the family during Albert's illness from Catholic Charities and Pinewood Terrace Nursing Center will be forever appreciated. Memorial contributions for Albert Blutcher may be given to Catholic Charities. Danekas Funeral Chapel and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
