Memorial Obituary
Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Olive *Lindsey will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday in Martin's Chapel, with Billy L. Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
Mrs. Lindsey, who was 80, lived at 645 Road 24-1/2. A resident of Grand Junction for 24 years, she died Thursday in St. Mary's Hospital following an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Lindsey was the former Maude Olive Barnes, born Nov. 12, 1877, at Smith Center, Kan.. She spent her childhood there. Her first husband, was Francis Elmer Brown, who died a number of years ago.
The family lived at Yuma, Colo., from 1910 until moving to Grand Junction in 1923; she moved to Cedaredge in 1945, returning to Grand Junction in 1956. She was married to William Lindsey at Grand Junction in May, *1941.
Surviving are a son, O.M. Brown, and two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Ethel) Martin and Mrs. Harold (Dortha) Hensley, all of Grand Junction; a brother, Hamlin Barnes of Los Angeles, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Isla Terrill of Smith Center; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dick Romish, David Ashcroft, Hugh Dugan, Elzie Goss, Sidney Nichols Sr. and Ed Baysinger.
