Mrs. Carey Townley, 43, died at her home in the New York community at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon following a short illness.

Funeral services were held Monday at 11:30 o'clock with interment following in the New York cemetery. Rev. Marvin Johnson conducted the services. He was assisted by Rev. Guy Williamson. Three hundred and fifty people attended the services.

The deceased is survived by her husband and five children, one boy and four girls. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Dike of the Edom section, are also left to mourn her loss.

In addition to the above, the following relatives attended the funeral: two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Hammell, Glen Rose; Mrs. Lottie Smith, Edom; one brother, Charlie Dike, Edom; three aunts, Mrs. J.H. Williamson and Mrs. John Wood of Athens and Mrs. Eva Moore of Jacksonville; six uncles, Rev. Francis Dike, Livingston; J.H. Dike, Edom; Robert Patterson, Athens; J.J. Patterson, Dallas; John Patterson, Ben Wheeler; Hughey Dike, Jacksonville.
