Funeral services for Ro Dike, 68, well known Van Zandt county citizen, were held at Edom this afternoon with burial at the Edom cemetery. Mr. Dike died at 10:00 o'clock Thursday morning at a Tyler hospital where he was carried several days ago.
Deceased had lived at Edom practically all his life and was one of the large land owners of that section. For many years he also conducted a gin.
Attending the funeral from Athens were Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Patterson, Grady Patterson and Mrs. Nettie McCandless. Mr. Dike married Mrs. Patterson's sister. Mrs. Jessie Williamson of Murchison is also a sister of the deceased. She and Mr. Williamson also attended the funeral.
