Skiatook, Okla. - An elderly Harrison, Ark. woman and her son were killed Monday when the pickup truck in which they were riding skidded on wet pavement and plunged into a ditch. The accident occurred about 7 a.m.
Oklahoma highway patrol trooper Ervin Heidebrecht, said the victims were identified as Mrs. Georgianna Clark, 86, and her 65 year old son, Troy Denver Clark.
The accident occurred on State Highway 20, seven miles west of here.
The Clarks resided at 418 north 2nd street on Eagle Heights. They had been to Hominy, Okla., to visit Mrs. Clark's sister, Mrs. Ella Quigley.
Mrs. Clark was a native of Limestone but had been a resident of Harrison for the past 60 years. She was born December 31, 1873 the daughter of Ben and Jennie Carlton.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lexie Brisco, Harrison, Mrs. Mary F. Perkins, Flint, Mich.; three sons, James Clark, Flint, Mich., Lewis Clark, Bellefonte and Bill Clark, Harrison; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Quigley, Hominy, Okla., Mrs. Dora Brasel, Jasper; 16 grandchildren.
Mrs. Clark is survived by four sons, three daughters, two sisters, three brothers.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.. Wednesday at The Eagle Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be held today in Pryor, Okla.
