Arthur "Art" Jeldness was the son of Andrew and Gertrude Jeldness. He married Zella Stevens. He and Zella's brothers, Clarence and Elmer, were very interested in finding gold and other minerals. Their search included areas in Oregon and Washington. Their quest further led Art and Elmer to go to British Honduras for awhile.
Art and Zella had two daughters, Anna Jane and Adella Jean. They all have stones in the Log Town Cemetery, where Art's parents are buried. But Art and Zella's ashes were scattered among the foothills of southern Oregon.
