Ruth, 87, of Ionia, MI. died Saturday. She was born the daughter of Michael J. and Anna M. (Hacker) Dreger.

She married Richard S. Drake August 30, 1942 at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Ionia. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church all of her life. She was very strong in her faith. She worked as a bank teller at Ionia County National Bank for over 20 years. She enjoyed golfing.

Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Richard Drake of Ionia. Sons, Douglas (Judith) Drake of Lansing, Brian (Patricia) Drake of Lowell. Brother William (Betty Mohieu) Dreger of Kalamazoo; 4 Grandchildren; 2 Step Grandchildren; 5 Great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Charles (Carl), Wilbur (Bud), Herman; and 5 sisters: Josephine Mathe, Elenora Teichmann, Dorothea Dreger, Minnie Kobel, Anna Browning.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 8th at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor David Bogda officiating.
