Betty was kind, optimistic, a loving wife and mother, outgoing, a great cook and a wonderful dancer. She had a keen appreciation for the beauty of the Ozark Mountains and its streams. She enjoyed fishing and swimming and never let housework stand in the way of a good time. She considered her family to be the crowning jewel of her life.
She is survived by her son Steve and wife Becky Smith of Russellville; her 2 daughters, LaWanda and husband, Bob Hlass of Conway, AR and Lisa Pennington of Dardanelle, AR; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Tarlton Cemetery, in Lurton, AR. The Reverend Stanley Taylor will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at the funeral home.
