George Kuchenbuch, 67, a Kittitas Valley resident for the past 16 years, died early today at the Ellensburg General Hospital. He had been ill for about five days.
Kuchenbuch, a native of Siskiyou County, California, lived in Washington State for 64 years. He operated a farm in this valley and before coming here was in the hay, grain and feed business in Enumclaw for many years. For a time, he operated a farm in Govan. Kuchenbuch was a member of the Menastsh Grange.
Surviving him are his widow, Bertha; a son, Charles Kuchenbuch of Ellensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Hanson of Ellensburg; two brothers, Henry of Govan and Charles of Mandovi; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hoyt of Govan, Mrs. Labert Betz of Cheney and Mrs. Edith Schafer of Espinola, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday in the Honeycutt-Evenson Chapel. Rev. Harry Sorenson will officiate and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery.
