Lucy Blanche Lewis Shepherd-Impressive funeral services were
held Tuesday in the ward chapel at Liberty over the remains of Mrs. George Shepherd, 35 years of age who died at the Montpelier hospital last Thursday afternoon following ten days of critical illness. She is survived by a husband and three children.
The funeral services were presided over by Bishop Morgan, who was the first speaker, followed by Bishop Samuel Hymas, Dr. George P. Ashley, Bishop Ernest Hymas, Jas. A Hymas and L. T. Shepherd. The speakers were life long acquaintances of the deceased and told of her splendid character, her
love for her family, and a good church worker. Beautiful and appropriate music was furnished by the Liberty ward choir, under the direction of Lyman Hymas.
Interment was made in the Liberty cemetery by special request of Mrs.Shepherd prior to her death.
