"CHARLES BURTON RETIRED HOTEL MANAGER, DIES
Charles Edwin Burton, 72, of 1229 NW 7, died of a heart attack while walking in downtown Oklahoma City Wednesday afternoon. He was stricken suddenly at the intersection of NW 2 and Harvey.
Burton had lived here for 12 years and had been manager of the Alexander Rooms and Sanders hotel. He retired five years ago.
He was born in Coffman, Texas, and moved to Mangum at the age of 13 (or 15) where he lived until he came to Oklahoma City.
His survivors include a sister, Mrs Marion Fox, Coffman, and a brother Joe T, of Edgewood, Texas.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Watts Funeral Home."
