Carl Anderson, age 83, died Saturday, August 18, 2007, at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late William N. and Mittie N. Anderson and husband of the late Lou Ann Garner Anderson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked as a service man from Wooten Oil Company.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Anderson Family Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Sasser officiating.
Mr. Anderson is survived by a stepdaughter, Sherry Taylor of Columbia, S.C.; five brothers, Charles Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Glenn Anderson, all of Dudley, Clarence Anderson and Bobby Anderson, both of Raleigh; a sister, Edith Outlaw of Deep Run; and one grandson, Nicholas Joseph Nunez (06/27/1978- present) son of Nickey Joe Anderson.
Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
Memorials in Mr. Anderson's memory maybe sent to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
