Funeral services fro Pfc. Thomas W. Berry of 814 Hemlock Street who died in Italy April 14 1945, in defense of his country will be held in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Dr. W.E. Denham and Chaplain Allen Sanders will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Fletcher, H.P. O'Cain, J.B. Chafin, Tommy Parker, Fred Hollingsworth and Frank Watts.

Honorary pallbearers will be G.W. Hooten, F.I. Gilbert, Tiff Wood, H.H. Wilson, George Butts, J.C. Gattis, George Smith and J.S. Freeman.

Berry was born in Blairsville so of F.A. and Mrs. Myrtice Coker Berry, and had lived in Macon since 1932. He was graduated from Lanier High School and Young Harris College and was a member of First Baptist Church. Prior to entrance into military service he was associated with the Southern Bell Telephone Company.

Surviving are his wife now Mrs. Joe G. Cannon, of Macon; a son, Thomas W. Berry Jr., and a daughter Barbara Berry, of Macon; his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. L. Joe Kight, and a sister JoAnn Kight of Macon.
