Rites For P. Lee Phillips
Service for Veteran Employee of Library to Be Held Today
Funeral service for P. Lee Phillips, widely known librarian and cartographer will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o'clock at his residence, 1308 Twentieth Street Northwest. The Rev. Dr. Robert Johnston, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Phillips who had been in the employ of the Library of Congress for 47 years died Friday.
Honorary pallbearers for his funeral will be Dr. Herbert Putnam, Admiral Reginald Nicholson, retired; Brigadier General Charles L. McCawley, A.C. Addison, Major Gist Blair, L. Kemp Duval, Gailiard Hunt and F.D. McKenney.
