William E. George.
William E. GEORGE, 71, of 1123 High, died unexpectedly Sunday night from a heart attack in a railroad station in Chicago. He and his wife were returning to Topeka from Washington, D.C.
Mr. GEORGE sepnt his early life in Topeka and for many years was manager of the Fred Harvey stations along the Santa Fe System. He was electrical foreman of the Gulf Lines when he retired six years ago.
He and Mrs. GEORGE then returned to Topeka from Cleburne, Texas, to make their home in Topeka. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church and Orient Lodge No. 51, A.F.& A.M.
The funeral will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
