HAUGHTON, LA - Services for Mrs. Flora H. Alvis, 87, of Haughton, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 18 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. The Rev. Charles Holeyfield, pastor of Central Assembly of God, and the Rev. E. J. Martin, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial Hill Crest Cemetery.
Mrs. Alvis, a housewife, died Saturday, February 16, 1985, at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born in Jamestown, La. and had been a resident of Haughton for 30 years. She was a member of the Central Assembly of God and the O.E.S. Chapter No. 175 Bossier City.
She is survived by four sons, H. C. Basinger, Willard Basinger, Ray Basinger and D. L. Basinger; one daughter, Estelle Langston; two sisters, Josie Watts and Nina Sprawls, two brothers, Elmer Huckaby and Bezzel Huckaby; four step-children and fourteen grandchildren.
