Meredythe H. Jordan, 94 of Lake Sara near Effingham, IL, formerly of Tower Hill, IL, passed away at 7:08 PM Tuesday May 8, 2007 in St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.
She was born Aug. 4, 1912 in Hamilton, Montana the daughter of Walter and Edith Rust Hall.
She married Edgar Stevens Feb. 22, 2930 and he passed away Dec. 25, 1965. She married Benjamin Jordan Oct. 20, 1967 and he passed away May 17, 2001.
Surviving are sons Harold Stevens and wife Charlene of Enon, OH, Richard Stevens and wife Barbara of Aurora, CO and Robert Stevens and wife Judy of Sequim, WA; daughters: Peggy Mathias Smith of Beecher City, IL, Dorothy LeDuc and husband John of Mobile, AL, Carole Kirkpatrick of Beecher City, Alice Wicks of Amity OR and Edith Runkel and husband Carl of Vandalia, IL; fifty grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Edgar Stevens and Benjamin Jordan, four sons-in-law and a great granddaughter Nicki Runkel.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials: Your Favorite Hospice Organization. Lockart-Green Funeral Home of Beecher City is assisting the family with arrangements.
