Dario Gomez, 78, passed away June 23, 2010 at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif.
Dario was born Dec. 19, 1931 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Silverio and Maria Gomez.
Dario enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and he also loved spending time with his wife, Tomasa.
They would spend time together watching his favorite TV shows and going for rides in his wheelchair. He was a wonderful man and always had a smile on his face.
He will be missed by everyone who loved him. Dario was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather and friend.
Dario is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tomasa Gomez, of Blythe; his children, Dario (Sally) Gomez Jr. and Jerry Gomez of New Mexico, Lupe Gomez of Phoenix, Ariz., Xavier Gomez of New Mexico, Zelda Gomez, Gloria Gomez, George Gomez, Danny Gomez, David Gomez and Ruben Gomez, all of Utah; step-children, Juanita (Miguel) Sias of Texas, Maria (Hector) Gonzalez of Blythe and Ruben Vargas of Texas; his brother, Gerardo (Tillie) Alvarez of Utah; his sister, Mary Alvarez of New Mexico; as well as many grandkids and great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation and Rosary were held June 28, 2010 and Funeral Mass was held June 29, 2010 both at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial at Palo Verde Cemetery.
