Death came to Mrs. Judith Bandy, resident on Central avenue, last Monday afternoon after an illness extending over many months. Mrs. Bandy was seventy-five years of age at the time of her death and had made her home here with her son John for the past four years.
Mrs. Bandy who before her marriage was Miss Judith Bennett, was born in Ann Arbor, Mich., on the 18th of February, 1851. On July 4th, 1870, she was married to John Oscar Bandy who died in 1892. Ten children were born to this union, nine of whom are still living. They are Mrs. William Greb, John Bandy and Laurence Bandy, all of Orland; Mrs. Joseph McClintock of Auburn, Wash., Mrs. James Wilson of Prince George, B.C.; Mrs. Bertha Burns of Craik, Canada, Mrs. Willis Austin of Eagle Bend, Minn., Mrs. E. MRS. BANDY PASSES ON

Funeral Yesterday Baptist Church

Mrs. Judith Bandy passed away at her home in this city on Tuesday, after an illness of a number of months, during which time all efforts possible to prolong her life were used but to no avail. She had reached the age of 75 years, 2 months and 8 days at the time of her demise.
Mrs. Bandy was a native of Michigan, was born at Ann Arbor on February 18, 1851. Moving with her parents to Minnesota, she was married, on July 4th, 1870, to John Oscar Bandy at Union Grove, Minn. And there they made their home till the death of Mr. Bandy in 1893, and Mrs. Bandy continued to reside there till about four years ago, when she came to California to make her home with her children at Orland. During the past year and more, her health had been failing, and her daughter, Mrs. Wilson, came last Christmas season, and stayed with her till the end.
Nine children are left to mourn the loss of a mother, who was true in every respect to all that a mother should be, and who held the respect and affection of all who knew her as a noble, Christian woman. The children are: Mrs. Wm. Greb, Lawrence and John Bandy, all of Orland; Mrs. Jos. McClintick, of Auburn, Wash.; Mrs. Jas. Wilson, of Prince George, B.C., Canada; Mrs. Bertha Burns, of Crail, Sask., Canada; Mrs. Wm. Austin, of Eagle Bend, Minn.; Mrs. E. J. Doty of Melrose, Minn., and George M. Bandy, of North Dakota.
The funeral was held yesterday, Thursday afternoon at three o'clock from the Orland Baptist church, the services being conducted by the pastor, Rev. E. B. Singer, and the remains were taken for interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery. - Transcribed by E.
