PANHANDLE - Winnie E. Tackitt, 77, a resident of Panhandle since 1945, died Thursday at Weatherford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Panhandle with Rev. Doug Harvey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Smith-Fox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tackitt was born Dec. 27, 1908 in Roger Mills County, Okla. She married George L. Tackitt July 3, 1925 in Cheyenne, Okla. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1968.
The family moved to Panhandle from Dumas.
Mrs. Tackitt was a member of First Christian Church of Panhandle and the Golden Age Fellowship.
She is survived by one son, Larry, of Happy; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Grabber of Weatherford; a sister, Martha Phenix of Morton, four grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
