Juanita Jean Gordon, 83, of Indianapolis, formerly of Urbana, passed away on Sunday (June 27, 2010) at the Washington Health Care Center in Indianapolis.

She was born on Aug. 3, 1926 in Urbana to Oscar Adams Sr. and Gladys Martin Adams. She married Robert L. Gordon II on Sept. 23, 1942. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1986.

Survivors include three children, Robert L. Gordon III (Florence) of California, Leslie Gordon (Harry Goss) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Marla Booth (Nate) of California; three grandchildren, Lisa Gordon Hunt (Dave), Karlchen Djordjevic (Jaime) and Kurt Djordjevic (Crystal) and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gordon worked for the Urbana Free Library Archives for many years and also the Champaign County Republican Headquarters. She was a member of the Republican National Committee, Colonial Dames, Daughters of the American Revolution, Champaign County Historical Society, and she was a life member of the National and Illinois Congress of PTA.
