She was born in Port Arthur and lived here all her life. She was a homemaker and a volunteer in the Pastoral Care at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. She was a member of St. Therese, Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar Society.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Her funeral service will be at Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Donabugh officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hampton.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Simmons and Gayle Gouthier both of Port Arthur, Texas, Nita Feemster and Teresa Sherman both of LaPorte, Texas, her three brothers, Richard Loupe and Monroe Loupe both of Port Arthur, Texas, Ray Loupe of Knoxville, Tenn., her four granchildren and seven great grandchildren.
