She was born Feb. 3, 1919 at Logan, Utah, the daughter of John R. and Lena Gilgen Ashliman. She spent her early life in Utah before coming to the Idaho Falls area. She was married to Aldin M. Salverson on March 13, 1948, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have lived in Blackfoot since.
Active in her church, she served as a teacher in Primary for 20 years and as a Relief Society teacher and secretary of the Blackfoot Fourth Ward Relief Society.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Melvin Aldin Salverson, 9, Blackfoot; one daughter, Karen Ann Salverson 12, Blackfoot; her mother, of Idaho Falls; two brothers, Ralph E. Ashliman, Idaho Falls; and Ivan S. Ashliman, Riverside, Calif.; and five sisters, Mrs Illa Rogers, Lewiston, Utah; Mrs. Grace Cawley, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Ruth Pickett, Mrs. Jane Whitmill, and Mrs. Laree Quinn, all of Idaho Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday from the Blackfoot Fourth Ward LDS Church, Bishop Howard Packham officiating. Burial will be in the Grove City Cemetery, Blackfoot. Friends may call at the Howard Packham Mortuary Thursday and Friday prior to service time.
