FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. ELLEN BRENNAN ON SUNDAY

The funereal service for Mrs. Ellen Brennan age seventy-seven years, who passed away at the home of her son Ed Brennan, Saturday morning, was held from the family residence Sunday afternoon with Rev. L. F. Dykal of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating and internment was made at Prairie Lea Cemetery, by the side of her husband the late Larry Brennan who preceded her to the grave in 1911. A selected choir sang appropriate funeral hymns and her grave was covered with beautiful floral tributes.

Active pallbearers were W. B. Francis, A. L. Niebuhr, F. L. Ansler, C. L. Wilkins, H.G. Wittbecker, T.L. Low and D.C. Williams.

Mrs. Brennan parents came to America from Ireland and settled in Gibson Louisiana from where she came to Brenham more then 50 years ago.

The following children survive her: Mr. John McGinn of Houston, Mrs. E. L. Johnson of Uvalde, Mrs. Nellie Futrell of Shreveport Louisiana, Ed Brennan of Brenham, Mrs. Kate Henerie of San Antonio, and Jim Brennan of Galveston. All of her children were in attendance but Nellie Fuetrell of Shreveport.

Numerous grandchildren and other relatives in attendance were two nephews: Mr. Ed Brennan of Taylor and Mr. Larry Brennan of Summerville.
