Funeral services for Jim Brennan aged 52 years, who passed away in Galveston Saturday night, were held at 3:30 Monday afternoon from the residence of decedent's brother Ed Brennan at 811 West Fifth Street, with Father Charles Weisnerowski officiating.
The body was then taken to St. Mary's Catholic church, where services were continued and interment was at Prairie Lea cemetery and he was laid to rest near his parents and brother Joseph. Ernest Hermann funeral director, had charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were; Clint Marable, Fred Sanders, Egbert Crozier, Lee Nowak. M.W. Oakes, Chas. W. Rankin and Jesse Gillespie.
Honorary Pallbearers were; William Seidel, D. C. Williams, W. B. Francis, F. L. Amsler, W. G. Alsobrook, Albert Neibuhr, and Searcy Willis.
The deceased was born and reared in Brenham and grew to manhood here. About 25 years ago he moved to Galveston and resided there continuously since. He had been ill for some time as the result of a stroke when death relieved his sufferings.
Mr. Brennan was never married. His surviving relatives are a brother, Ed Brennan of Brenham: and three sisters, Mrs. Ed Johnson of Uvalde, Mrs. Kate Henarie of San Antonio, and Mrs. Nellie Long of Los Angeles. Many of his boyhood friends in Brenham grieved to learn of his death.
