Mrs. Sophie Engeling, 85, of 401 Horton St., died in a Breham hospital Monday at 12:15 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the Brenham Memorial Chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Wiley Fox officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery. A devotional service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Brenham Memorial Chapel.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Minnie Brennan Davis of Porter, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Wilburn Klehm, Ed Brennan, J. L. Davis, Z. L. Jankowski, Wilburt Klehm, Leon Mathis, Roland Davis, Edgar Klehm and Willie F. Klehm Jr.
Born in Washington County, Texas Feb. 14, 1889, the daughter of the late George and Bertha Zobel Klehm, she was educated in Waller County Public schools.
Her husband, Will Engeling, preceded her in death in June, 1939.
