He was born Nov. 27, 1955, in Parkersburg, a son of the late Pearl and Opal Wright Fleak.
He was a member of the Belleville Baptist Church and worked at Linde Gas as a welder/fabricator. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and pig roasting for local events.
Surviving is his wife, Candice "Candy" Townsend Fleak; six daughters, Chrystal Sheppard (John) of Davisville, Heather Ferguson (Jim) of Washington, Jill Fleak (Joby Sims) of Parkersburg, Lakita Fleak of Vienna, Kendra Fleak and Kaitlyn Fleak, both of Belleville; seven grandchildren, Kyle Sheppard, Garrett Sheppard, Uriah Ferguson, Alayna Ferguson, Hailey Reaser, Elexis Reaser, and Jocie Sims; four brothers, Carl Fleak (Pam), Pearl Fleak Jr., David Fleak (Alicia), and Gary Fleak (Shelia), all of Washington; four sisters, Carolyn Carney (Jim) and Shirley Fleak (John), of Williamstown, Betty Nichols (Bill) of Parkersburg, and Susan Nichoson (Rick) of Coolville; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, Pastor Scott Morehead will officiate and burial will follow at the Pleasant Home Cemetery at Belleville. The visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
