Opal L. Fleak, 83, of Washington, W.Va., passed away Nov. 19, 2008, at the Willows Nursing Facility.

She was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late John W. and Bessie J. Whitecotton Wright.

She is survived by nine children, Carolyn Carney and her husband, Jim, of Central, Shirley Fleak and her husband, John, of Williamstown, Betty Nichols and her husband, Bill, of Parkersburg, Susan Nickoson and her husband, Rick, of Coolville, Pearl Jr. of Washington, Carl Fleak and his wife, Pam, of Washington, Jerry Fleak and his wife, Candy, of Belleville, Gary Fleak and his wife, Shelia, and David Fleak and his wife, Alicia, all of Washington; 26 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and one sister, Annabelle Wells of Vienna.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Pearl L. Fleak Sr.; and five sisters, Bernadine Lauderman, Mabel Starcher, Daisy Radabaugh, Grace Koon and Lena Sayre.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Brian Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
