MARIA ISABEL GRAVES SISLEY: Burton; 55yrs-5mos-22dys, eldest dau of Jacob & Catherine Graves, was born near Boscobel 6 Apr 1859. She died at Cassville 28 Sep 1914. When but a small child her parents moved from Boscobel to a farm in HarrisonTwp, where her girlhood was spent. She was united in marriage with Lewis Sisley 9 Jul 1888. To this union were born 7 children-2 dying in infancy while the family lived in IA. The 5 younger: Arthur, Simon, Willie, Grace & Gertrude are all living at home. Mr&Mrs Sisley spent the first 3yrs of their married life near Williams IA, from there coming to Ellenboro where they remained for about 10yrs. They then returned to IA but for the last 3yrs have resided on a farm near Burton. {several para re her illness}
Besides her husband & 5 children just budding into adulthood, she leaves to mourn her absence an aged mother, 2 sis: Ada(MrsNE) Adkinson; Alice(MrsED) Bitney-all Harrison; & 2 bros: Anderson-Millville; & Allen-MtHope; & many other relatives--friends, including her kindly neighbors, by whom she will be greatly missed.
Services were conducted Tuesday at the home with RevMoates of Cassville officiating. Her final resting place in Burton Cem.
