passed away on June 21, 2010 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of ninety-two
years.
On May 8, 1937, Eva Crawford was united in marriage to Olen Skiles
and to this marriage one daughter was born. Eva was a member of the
Salem United Methodist Church. She enjoyed embroidering and sewing.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Oysten)
Crawford; her husband, Olen; two brothers, Leonard and Jack Crawford; two
sisters, Irene DeSando and JoAnn Burgess.
Eva Skiles is survived by one daughter, Sandra Collins and husband,
Dennis, Salem; one brother, Richard Crawford and wife, JoAn, South
Carolina; five grandchildren, William Bowling and wife, Elizabeth, Florissant;
Sherri Buckner and husband, Rick, O'Fallon; Susan Eckert, Alton, Illinois;
Robert Mahoney Jr. and wife, Kati, Florissant; Sandra K. Clardy and
husband, Brett, Brighton, Illinois; nine great-grandchildren and six great-great-
grandchildren.
Funeral service for Eva Skiles was in the Wilson Mortuary (Salem)
Chapel with Pastor Doug Walter officiating. Special musical selections were
played. Serving as pallbearers were: Brett Clardy, Will Bowling, Bob
Mahoney, Dan Eckert, Eric Eckert, and Bill Denney. Interment was in the Mt.
Olive Cemetery.
