Friends at Grandfield, Oklahoma, have received word that Mrs. H. A. Farthing passed away Sunday, January 27, 1946, at Colony, Oklahoma, as the results of pneumonia.
Mrs. Farthing is a former resident of Grandfield and had many friends here who will be saddened to learn of her passing. Her husband passed away here a number of years ago. She is survived by a step-daughter, Mrs. Vinita Mertz, now of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and a granddaughter, Erma Lou Whiteside, who is now married and resides in Ponca City, also. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 30, 1946, at the Methodist Church at Vinita, Oklahoma.
