William F. Cahill, 45, 901 South Sixth died suddenly of a heart attack yesterday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Cahill, 831 South Fourth where he had gone for a few minutes visit. He had been in failing health for a number of years.
William Cahill was born January 14, 1898 son of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Cahill and lived in Atchison all his life. At the outbreak of the(SIC) first World war (SIC) he enlisted in the navy and served for the duration. He was discharged in September of 1919. On October, 17, 1932, he married Miss Rose Margaret Hess. Mr. Cahill was a pattern maker and learned his trade at the LFM. He had been employed for the past five years at the Stevens Manufacturing Co. in Kansas City. He was a member of the American Legion and a communicant of St. Benedict's church.
He is survived by his wife; two children, Richard 16, and Margaret 14; his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Cahill and one sister, Mrs. George Huebner. A daughter, Betty Marie, preceded him in Death
The rosary will be this evening at 8 o'clock at the residence 901 South Sixth. The funeral will be at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday from St. Benedict's with burial at Mt. Calvary cemetery. The American Legion will conduct military services at the grave. Harouff & Buls is in charge of arrangements.
