FOLLETT - Donald Ross BUCHNER, 70, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2003, in Amarillo.

Memorial graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Fairmont Cemetery with the Rev. Clay Wells, pastor of First Baptist Church of Follett, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home of Amarillo, 2800 S. Osage St., and Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

Mr. BUCHNER was born in Spearman. He lived in Follett most of his life. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Texas A&M and received his law degree from University of Texas in 1962. He practiced law in Follett from 1962 to 2003.

He was a member of Perryton Masonic Lodge and was a past master of Follett Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Texas State Bar. Mr. BUCHNER married LaVeta STEINERT in 1953 at Follett. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday School.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jody KALLA of Plano; a son, Ross Mark BUCHNER of Chipita Park, Colorado; a sister, Lometa SPARKS of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Follett Education Corp. in care of Follett National Bank.

Donald Ross BUCHNER, 70, of Follett, died, Jan. 13, 2003 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Amarillo.

Memorial graveside services will be held today, Sunday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. at Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, with Pastor Clay Wells of the First Baptist Church of Follett, officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Mason Funeral of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

He was born in Spearman on July 24, 1932 to L. M. BUCHNER and Gladys (Close) BUCHNER. He moved to Follett, where he lived most of his life. He married LaVeta Steinert in 1953 in Follett.

He served in the Army during the Korean War.

He graduated from Texas A&M and received a law degree from the University of Texas in 1962. He practiced law in Follett from 1962 to 2003.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. He was also a member of the Perryton Masonic Lodge and was a past master of the Follett Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Texas State Bar.
