Henry Edward Reineke, 81-year-old retired farmer and the father of Roy Reineke, Raymond hardware merchant for many years, died at 11 o'clock Sunday night at his home here following a year's illness from a complication of ailments.
Mr. Reineke was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Reineke and was born on a farm near Raymond on March 12, 1864. He was 81 years, 1 month and 17 days old when he died. His entire life had been spent in this community and he had farmed here until 30 years ago when he retired and moved to town.
He was united in marriage with Miss Mary E. Cundiff of Raymond on December 29, 1887, and she died in 1935.
He is survived by his son, Roy, of Raymond, a grandson, William Henry Reineke also of Raymond, a sister, Mrs. Matilda Goulden of DeLax, North Dakota. He was a member of the Modern Woodman lodge.
Funeral services were helad at the Methodist church here Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the pastor Re. H. B. Ambler, officiating. Burial was in Asbury cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Wm. Graham, J.T. McConathy, Harry Sims, Bert Martin, Stephen Seward, and George Haarstick.
Those in charge of the floral offerings, Blanche Seward, Hazel Gunn, Wilma Gamlin and Emma Kennerly.
