Wilhelm and Hanchen (Anna) came into the port of New Orleans May 12, 1857 along with son Fritz(Fred), daughter Anna and Wilhelm's brother Heinrich. They began farming in Raymond, IL. After they settled here, children William, Henry, Cena, Matilda, Marie, and George were born. Fred and Henry stayed in the area and farmed, William and Marie died young and Anna, Clara, Matilda, Cena, and George left the area. Anna, Clara and Cena are buried at Fairmount Cemetery in Denver, CO. Matilda is buried in Missouri and George is nowhere to be found.
