Carolyn J. Karnes, 74, of Groveland died at her home at 6:47 p.m. Friday (June 25, 2010).
She was born Jan. 29, 1936 in Springfield to Carroll and Helen Miller Merriett. On Dec. 29, 1958, she married Kenneth Karnes in Pekin. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1999. Also preceding her in death were her parents.
She is survived by three sons, Kurt (Gail) Karnes of Groveland, Kyle (Connie) Karnes of Snellville, Ga. and Kent Karnes (Cara) Karnes of Auburn, Ga.; four granddaughters, Darcy, Emily, Kassie and Krysta; three great- grandchildren; one sister and one sister-in-law.
