He was born Nov. 8, 1914 in Roane county, son of Odie YOST Childers of Parkersburg and the late Walter Ernest Childers COTTRILL.
He was employed by FMC Corp. in Nitro for 40 years and was a member of Masonic Lodge in Nitro.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Lucille BIDDLE Childers of Nitro; one son, David L. of Parkersburg; five sisters, Clara Morris, Sylvia Hanlon, Marguerite Bradley and Virginia Foggin, all of Parkersburg, and Lena Martin of Columbus, OH; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Sutphin officiating.
Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 PM today.
